Galloway, NJ – Five members of the Stockton University men's and women's track & field teams were recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for their work in academics and athletics.
Cassandra Hrusko (Manchester/Manchester Twp.),
Katie Jaeckel (New Gretna/Pinelands) and
Jess Radich (Franklinville/OLMA) were voted to the Capital One Academic All-District 2 Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team.

Tyler Pinto (Toms River/TR North) received his second straight Capital One Academic All-District 2 Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team nod and was joined by
Aaron Bess (Ridgewood/Ridgewood). Bess, Hrusko, Jaeckel and Radich earned Academic All-District 2 honors for the first time.

Hrusko is a sophomore health science major with a 3.87 grade point average. In the fall, she was NJAC First Team and USTFCCCA All-Region in cross country. Hrusko produced the best finish ever by a Stockton female at the NCAA Regionals by placing 20th. She then went on to snag an NJAC First Team spot as the league champion in the indoor 800m and also added NJAC Second Team in the outdoor 1500m and NJAC Honorable Mention in the indoor mile during her impressive year.

Jaeckel owned a 3.91 grade point average and graduated from Stockton with a degree in geology on May 9. She was the NJAC champion and NJAC First Team in the indoor high jump as well as NJAC Second Team in the outdoor high jump this year. Jaeckel also ended the indoor season ranked 33rd in the nation in the high jump. For her career, she was a four-time NJAC all-conference performer who won two conference titles in the high jump (2015 indoor, 2014 outdoor).

Radich also graduated from Stockton on May 9 with a degree in marine biology after posting a 3.83 grade point average. She was a four-year letter winner who competed in the throwing events. Radich won the NJAC championship to garner an NJAC First Team accolade in the outdoor hammer throw this spring and also qualified for the ECAC Championships in the javelin and hammer throw this year.

Pinto is a junior with a 3.90 grade point average as a criminal justice major. He has earned seven NJAC all-conference honors in his three years at Stockton so far, including four this year. Pinto was NJAC Honorable Mention in the indoor and outdoor 800m and the indoor and outdoor 4x400 relay in 2015. He holds three indoor school records, the 800m, 4x800, and distance medley relay.

Bess is a sophomore physical therapy major with a 3.90 grade point average while competing in jumps and sprints. He collected NJAC Honorable Mention kudos in the indoor triple jump and outdoor 4x400 relay this year. Bess also registered one win in the 4x100 relay, qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 4x100 and competed in the 4x100 and 4x200 at the 2015 Penn Relays.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. District 2 consists of NCAA Division III schools in Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Washington D.C. Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, from which Academic All-America honorees will be selected in June.
