Hannah Bibeault (Hopatcong/Hopatcong) was voted to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Softball Third Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Bibeault, a health science major with a 3.97 grade point average, completed her four-year career as a pitcher for the Ospreys last month.
Bibeault earned the 15th Academic All-America honor in Stockton history and third by a softball player, joining Barb Kutch (2008 Third Team) and Melissa Baumgartner (2009 Third Team). She is one of 25 players out of 33 on the Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Softball Team with a GPA of 3.90 or higher.
Bibeault pitched a team-high 100.1 innings this season, leading Stockton with 13 wins, 64 strikeouts and seven complete games. The righty went 13-6 with a 2.58 ERA to help the Ospreys to a 24-17 record and their third consecutive berth in the NJAC Tournament.
Bibeault tied for fourth in the NJAC in starts (20) and finished fifth in wins, seventh in strikeouts, tied for seventh in appearances (22) and 10th in ERA. She won eight straight decisions from March 25 through April 14 and allowed one earned run or less in 12 of her 22 appearances. Bibeault was chosen NJAC Pitcher of the Week twice and ECAC Metro Pitcher of the Week once during the season.
Bibeault finished her career second in school history in appearances (92), third in wins (38), fourth in innings pitched (370), eighth in strikeouts (200) and 10th in ERA (2.50). She shares the school record for appearances in a season (37 in 2017) and is one of just two Ospreys ever to win at least 13 games in a season twice, ending her career with a 38-22 record.
