The 1999 Men's Soccer Team went 20-5-1, at the time a school record for victories and still second in school history as of 2022. After edging Rowan University 2-1 in overtime to win the NJAC championship for the second time in program history, the squad earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament berth.
The Ospreys topped Vassar 4-0 and Rowan 2-1 in the first two rounds to reach the NCAA quarterfinals. Playing on its home field, Stockton then upset second-ranked Williams College, which had been undefeated, by a 1-0 score to become the first Stockton men’s soccer team and third Osprey team in any sport to reach the NCAA Final Four. The Ospreys ended the season ranked No. 4 nationally.
