Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem) won the No. 3 singles flight of the Goucher Invitational last weekend. The junior won in dominating fashion 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals then 6-4, 6-0 in the semifinals. Samuels captured the flight with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the finals, dropping just five games on her way to the title. She was selected as NJAC Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career.
