Club Sports - Men's Golf

Stockton Men’s Golf Team is currently classified as a club sport, with the possibility of being elevated to an NCAA Intercollegiate Team in the future. The Stockton Men's and Women's teams call the historic Seaview Resort and Golf Club as its home course. Seaview, which is located 10 minutes from the Stockton campus, boasts two 18-hole courses. The Bay Course hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic each summer and the Pines Course was the site of the 1942 PGA Championship.

Head Coach John Murphy enters his 10th year at Stockton University guiding the Men's Golf Program as a very well respected team in the tri-state area. As an accomplished one handicap golfer himself, he has been able to coach six individual winners of college tournaments and set a team record of a score of (317) at The Eastern University Fall Invitational. John routinely competes in amateur events hosted by the USGA and by the Golf Association of Philadelphia. Over the course of a student athletes' career at Stockton, you can be expected to improve your game to new heights never thought possible.

John has been working fulltime for the State of New Jersey for the past 13 years within the Department of Law and Public Safety as an Investigator.
