Edward Dennerlein (Chatham/Chatham) set personal bests in the shot put (16.60 meters) and weight throw (15.12 meters) in his first meet at Stockton. He placed second out of 23 competitors in the shot put, beaten only by an unattached thrower, then finished sixth of 22 in the weight throw. For his efforts, Dennerlein was selected NJAC Field Athlete of the Week.
