Erik Ackerman (Long Valley/West Morris Central) earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships by placing 10th out of 186 runners at the NCAA Region V (Metro) race. The senior led Stockton Men’s Cross Country to the program’s best-ever finish, sixth out of 26 teams, with a time of 25:07.1 for 8K that was the second best of his Stockton career. Ackerman became Stockton's third male two-time NCAA qualifier, joining Randy Wetzel (2002, 2000) and Abad Akhtar (2009-10). Ackerman he also earned a USTFCCCA All-Region award for the third straight year.
