Joe Dare is in his second year on the Stockton staff as head women’s cross country and assistant track & field coach. Last year, Dare coached the women’s cross country team to second place at the NJAC Championships and 12th out of 41 teams at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals in his first year at Stockton.
 
Dare spent three years from 2013-16 as the head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Cabrini. In 2016, he coached the Cavalier men’s team to its best finish at the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship since 2008 (fourth place).
 
Dare’s women’s squad at Cabrini won the Penn State Brandywine Invitational twice and his runners earned CSAC all-conference honors twice. Dare also has coaching experience from two Division I institutions. He was a volunteer assistant from track & cross country at St. Joseph’s University from 2012-14 and assistant coach at LaSalle University for the 2008-09 academic year.
 
Dare was an accomplished student-athlete at LaSalle who helped the Explorers win three Atlantic 10 championships in cross country. Individually, he was a three-time Atlantic 10 First Team and two-time All-Region runner. Dare also earned three Atlantic 10 all-conference honors in track & field and was an NCAA provisional qualifier in the 10,000m in 2007.
 
Dare earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from LaSalle in 2008 and added a master’s degree in leadership from Cabrini in 2016.
