(Hilton Head, SC) – Richard Stockton (11-5) concluded their five-match stint in Hilton Head with a 7-2 victory over Alderson Broaddus (3-5) that was their third straight win. The Ospreys jumped to the early lead by taking two of the three doubles matches and then pulled away by capturing five out of six in singles play.
Kristy Faren (Oakland/Indian Hills) led the way as she did not lose a single game in singles or doubles.
Laura Church (Wall/Ranney School) and
Sam Koropchak (West Milford/West Milford) teamed for an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles while Faren and
Gianna Letinski (Barnegat/Barnegat) posted an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.
Koropchak and Faren led the way in singles with wins by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Church prevailed 6-2, 6-2 and Letinski breezed to a 6-0, 6-1 rout. With the match no longer in doubt,
Colleen Anderson (Barnegat/Barnegat) capped the 7-2 Stockton triumph with an 8-0 whitewash over her singles opponent.
