Stockton Still Perfect After 16-7 Win

Immaculata, PA – Stockton University (4-0) pushed its winning streak to four with a 16-7 victory over Immaculata (2-3). The Ospreys scored the first three goals of the game and never looked back. Lauren Ivancich (Beach Haven/Southern Regional) topped a list of seven goal scorers for Stockton with a game-high four markers while freshman Brianna Rolke (Berlin/Eastern) finished with three goals and two assists. Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) contributed three goals and an assist as well.
 
Ivancich sandwiched her first two goals around one by Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) for three markers in a span of 2:24 that gave Stockton a 3-0 lead. After Immaculata got on the board, Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) and Skyler Mahoney-Kendra (Tinton Falls/St. John Vianney) scored 1:18 apart to make it 5-1. Ivancich later closed the first half scoring and the Ospreys were on top 6-2 at the break.
 
Stockton pulled away by outscoring Immaculata 10-5 in the second half. The Mighty Macs got as close as 7-4 but two goals by Miller and one by Rolke increased the lead to an insurmountable 10-4 with 17:47 remaining. After Immaculata netted two straight to trim the margin to four, Ivancich and Rolke ended the threat with consecutive goals for a 12-6. Stockton later potted the last four counters of the game to walk away with the 16-7 triumph.
 
Ivancich supplemented her four goals with nine draw controls and five ground balls. Stockton goalkeeper Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) improved to 4-0 on the season with five saves and Heather Malosky (Branchburg/Immaculata) paced the defense with four caused turnovers. Offensively, Stockton outshot Immaculata 41-14.
 
Stockton will begin a three-game homestand on Tuesday by hosting Old Westbury at 5 pm.
