BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (2-0) began the second half with seven unanswered goals to break open a close game and defeat Coast Guard (1-2) 14-8. The outburst turned a slim 6-4 edge into a commanding 13-4 advantage.
Zoey Kramer (Eatontown/Red Bank Catholic) led a balanced attack with three goals and three assists followed by
Nicole Miller (Southampton/Seneca) with three goals and two assists.

Lauren Ivancich (Beach Haven/Southern Regional) and
Colleen Knight (Pennsauken/Camden Catholic) scored three goals apiece. Ivancich led all players with eight draw controls and Knight snagged four draw controls. Stockton goalkeeper
Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) earned the win with seven saves. The Ospreys doubled Coast Guard 38-19 in shots.

Stockton got off to a slow start as the Bears struck for the first two goals of the game. The Ospreys came to life with five straight tallies, led by Miller with two and Kramer with a goal and three assists as they roared into the lead 5-2. Coast Guard then sandwiched two markers around a goal by Knight to trim the Ospreys' margin to 6-4 at the break.

Miller got Stockton started with the first tally of the second half and Knight made it 8-4 just 23 seconds later. Ivancich netted three consecutive goals before Kramer and Knight capped the seven-goal run with counters less than two minutes apart to increase the Ospreys' lead to 13-4 with 5:49 remaining. Coast Guard scored four of the game's last five goals, with Kramer potting Stockton's final tally in the 14-8 triumph.

Coast Guard, a first-year program playing just its third NCAA game, was led by Niki Kruger and Ruby Surgent with three goals apiece. Bears' goalie Angel Fay had an impressive outing with 13 saves.

Stockton will play its first road game of the season on Wednesday when the Ospreys visit Maritime for a matchup that starts at 7 pm.Â
