BoxscoreEwing, NJ – Stockton University (9-6, 1-4 NJAC) began the final week of the regular season with its toughest game of the year as the Ospreys faced a national power in #8 The College of New Jersey (12-3, 5-0). Stockton hung around in the first half but ultimately couldn't keep up with the Lions and fell 13-1.

Mary Stornes (Galloway/Absegami) stood up to heavy pressure with 12 saves and
Skyler Mahoney-Kendra (Tinton Falls/St. John Vianney) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys. Stockton was outshot 33-4 in the game.

After TCNJ got on the board first, Mahoney-Kendra converted a feed from
Sarah Brenner (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) for a 1-1 tie 15:48 into the game. The Lions netted three goals in the last nine minutes of the period and Stockton trailed just 4-1 at the break thanks in large part to seven saves by Stornes.

The Ospreys ran out of steam in the second half, getting outshot 16-1 and outscored 9-0 in the stanza. TCNJ scored five goals in the first eight minutes to make Stockton's deficit eight at 9-1. They later added four more tallies in an eight-minute span for a 13-1 count and neither team scored in the last 10 minutes.

Stornes registered five more saves in the second half to finish with 12 stops plus a team-high four ground balls.
Monica Barysh (Manalapan/Manalapan) notched a game-high three caused turnovers and scooped three ground balls.

Stockton will conclude the regular season with a home game against Ramapo on Saturday at 1 pm.
