BoxscoreGalloway, NJ – Stockton University (13-5) surged to the lead with five straight goals in the third quarter and held on for an 8-7 victory over Lebanon Valley (8-9) in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic tournament quarterfinals.
Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) paced the Ospreys with a game-high four goals while
Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) tallied two goals and two assists. With the win, Stockton tied the school record of 13 victories that was set last year in an OT victory over the Dutchmen.

Lebanon Valley started fast with three goals in the first seven minutes while Stockton opened the game sluggishly. Bologno scored Stockton's first marker with 51 seconds left in the quarter and Manasia potted his first of the game 1:07 into the second stanza to pull the Ospreys within 3-2. Neither team scored for over 12 minutes until the Dutchmen found the net with 1:39 on the clock and then again a minute later to put Stockton in a 5-2 hole at the break.

In the third quarter, Manasia started the five-goal barrage with two tallies 53 seconds apart to make it a 5-4 game.
James O'Donnell (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) tied the match 5-5 with an unassisted goal with 1:11 left the period.
Mike Caposella (Wayne/DePaul Catholic) gave Stockton its first lead of the night at 6-5 only 37 seconds later and Manasia scored just 25 seconds after that, with just nine ticks left in the period to put the Ospreys on top 7-5 after three.

Koty Keefer got Lebanon Valley within 7-6 with his second goal of the game early in the fourth quarter but Bologno answered with his second counter for an 8-6 Stockton lead with 9:28 to play. Just 1:19 later, Matt Lubawski again brought the Dutchmen within one at 8-7. The Ospreys committed five turnovers and were outshot 5-4 the rest of the way but
Pat Quinn (Shrewsbury/Red Bank Regional) made two saves and the Ospreys held on for the 8-7 victory.

Quinn played the second half and earned the win with four saves after
Eric Leonard (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) made four saves in the first half.
Lance Pecina (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) was strong defensively with four caused turnovers while
Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./CBA) won 12 of 17 faceoffs and scooped five ground balls.

No. 3 seed Stockton advanced to the ECAC semifinals for the second straight year. The Ospreys will try to break the school record for wins in a season when they play at Alfred University (NY) on Saturday at 4:30 pm.
