Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (3-3, 1-3 NJAC) earned their first NJAC win of the season with a 69-55 victory over Rutgers-Camden (0-5, 0-4 NJAC) on Wednesday night.
Marcus Harmon (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) led the Ospreys with a career-high 20 points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds on the night.

Stockton used a stifling defense in the first half, holding the Scarlet Raptors to just 28.6% (8-28) shooting and just 18-61 (29.5%) on the night. With the game knotted at 20-20 with 8:14 remaining, Stockton ripped off 19 points to just four for the visitors to end the half leading 39-24.

The Ospreys closed the period by scoring the last 11 points, led by
Tom Catanoso (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) with two three-pointers, a trey by Harmon and a layup by
Zavon Johnson (Trenton/West Windsor Plainsboro South). Stockton held their opponents without a point for the final 2:08 of the frame.

The second half was more of the same, as the Ospreys lengthened their advantage to as many as 20 points, 50-30 with 14:42 to play. The margin never fell below 10 points during the second stanza and Stockton coasted home with the 69-55 victory.

In addition to Harmon's night, Catanoso and
Khaliq Ford (Millville/Millville) added 10 points each, with Catanoso grabbing a career-high eight rebounds.
Brandon Hamilton (Camden/Paulsboro) tied his career best with a team-high five assists, pulled down a career-high nine rebounds and blocked two shots.
Darius Jerkins (Somers Point/Mainland) swatted a game-high four shots by the visitors on the evening.

For Rutgers-Camden, Charlie Riccardi topped the team with 16 points, with 11 coming in the first half. Julian Martin scored 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished a game-high six assists. Julian Diaz-Smitherman rounded out the Scarlet Raptors' top scorers with 11 markers.

Stockton will begin a six-game road trip when they face William Paterson on Saturday in Wayne, NJ. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
