Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (15-11) advanced in the ECAC Metro Tournament with a 79-74 victory over Baruch College (18-10) on Wednesday night.
Marcus Harmon (Whitesboro/Middle Twp.) and
Zavon Johnson (Trenton/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) led four Ospreys in double figures with 15 points each.

Stockton started slowly after being off since February 18. Stockton fell behind early by 10, but regained the lead and held a 42-34 advantage at the break. Harmon scored 10 points with
Kashaun Barnes (Toms River/Manchester Twp.) adding eight points to the total.

Steve Ferebee (Galloway/Absegami) scored 10 of his career-high 12 points in the second half to keep Stockton ahead. The Bearcats closed to within two at 50-48, before Stockton ran up lead again. Baruch closed the gap, but time ran out and the final score was set at 79-74. The Ospreys sealed the game at the foul line and held on for the victory.

In addition to Harmon and Johnson, Ferebee chipped in with 12 points for his career-high and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds, to tie his career-best. Barnes scored 14 points and dished career-high nine assists. Johnson also pilfered three steals to top all players.

The Bearcats were led by Chimaechi Ekekeugbor with 28 points with teammate Doyin Isaac adding 27 markers and a game high 10 boards.

Stockton will travel to Carnegie Mellon University for a quarterfinal matchup on Friday. Game time is set for 5 pm
