Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (12-16, 4-8 NJAC) dropped the second game of a home-and-home series with Rutgers-Camden (12-18, 3-9 NJAC) by a score of 12-1 on Friday afternoon. Â
JJ Swentkowski (Egg Harbor Twp. /EHT) rapped two of the Ospreys' three hits and drove in the only run on the day.

Stockton scored their only run in the bottom of the first.
Zach Gustites (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) led off the inning with a walk and promptly stole second. Swentkowski's RBI single through the box plated Gustites for the 1-0 lead.

The Scarlet Raptors took control of the game in the top of the second inning, as they scored four runs on five hits and an error for a 4-1 advantage against Stockton freshman pitcher
Tyler Apt (Williamstown/Williamstown). The visitors plated single runs in the third and fifth innings to increase the margin to 6-1, as the Ospreys managed just another Swentkowski hit in the fourth frame.

Rutgers-Camden put the game away with three runs in the eight and ninth innings, while allowing only a safety by
Jeff Schick (Marlton/Cherokee) and set the final score at 12-1 in favor of the Raptors. Rutgers Camden belted out 15 hits led by John DeSantis with four hits and three RBI.

Winning hurler Zach Welsher went the distance allowing just three hits, one earned run and 12 strikeouts. Apt suffered the loss as four Stockton hurlers saw action in the game.

Stockton will continue NJAC play tomorrow when they will face William Paterson in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 11:30 am.
