Staten Island, NY – Stockton University (2-2) evened its overall record with a 9-0 shutout on the road at Staten Island (2-1). Five Ospreys won matches in both singles and doubles as the Ospreys dealt the Dolphins their first loss of the season.
Amanda El-Khouri (Brick/Brick Memorial) and
Taylor Searles (Turnersville/Washington Twp.) tossed an 8-0 shutout in doubles.
Emily Steinberg (Toms River/TR North) and
Maria Ibarra (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) rolled to an 8-1 win.
Summer Conover (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) and
Kristen McCormick (Galloway/Absegami) cruised 8-2.
After sweeping all three doubles matches, the Ospreys continued to roll in singles. Conover, Steinberg and El-Khouri all posted perfect 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles. Ibarra and
Katelyn Emick (West Deptford/West Deptford) each won 6-1, 6-1 while McCormick prevailed 6-4, 6-1.
Stockton will host Cabrini on Wednesday, September 20 at 4 pm.
