Bryn Mawr, PA – Stockton University (4-2) extended its winning streak to three with a 6-3 victory over Bryn Mawr (0-1) in a non-conference road match.
Summer Conover (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) and
Taylor Searles (Turnersville/Washington Twp.) led the Ospreys with wins in singles and doubles play.
Stockton began the match by taking two out of three in doubles. Conover and
Kristen McCormick (Galloway/Absegami) rolled to an 8-1 win. Searles and
Amanda El-Khouri (Brick/Brick Memorial) posted an 8-3 triumph.
The Ospreys clinched the victory with wins in four of the six singles matches. Conover rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 triumph and Searles' opponent was forced to retire, giving Stockton another team point.
Katelyn Emick (West Deptford/West Deptford) prevailed in a tight contest, 7-6 (7-1), 7-5.
Maria Ibarra (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) notched a 6-4, 6-1 win for the Ospreys as well.
Stockton's next match will be at home against Stevenson on Wednesday at 4:30 pm.
