Galloway, NJ – Stockton Athletics provided over 80 volunteers for the G. Larry James Legacy Run and Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon over weekend. Student-athletes from the Osprey men's track & field, women's track & field, men's basketball and women's lacrosse teams volunteered at the events.
The Stockton student-athletes were stationed throughout the course, providing assistance with the logistics of the races. The Ospreys performed functions such as checking runners in, serving as course marshals, directing runners, handing out water and giving out medals to finishers.
All three races took place in Atlantic City over the weekend. The G. Larry James Legacy Run, which raises money for G. Larry James Legacy Endowed Scholarship Fund, was held on Saturday and featured 5K and 10K races. The Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon both took place yesterday. The Atlantic City Marathon is the third-oldest marathon in the nation.
