Gloucester, NJ – Stockton University finished third in the women's race and fourth in the men's race at the NJAC Championships, which were hosted by Rowan University. The College of New Jersey won both the men's and women's conference titles.
Regina Duncan (Frelinghuysen Twp./North Warren) and
Daniel Do (Galloway/Absegami) were the top finishers for the Ospreys.
Duncan posted her best finish ever at the NJAC Championships, placing fifth at 23:47.25 for 6K. The senior was 13th at the conference meet last season and sixth two years ago.
Hayley Baydar (Hillsborough/Hillsborough) finished 13th with a time of 24:28.55 and
Juliana Garruto (Tinton Falls/Monmouth) was next for Stockton in 25:15.08 for 24th position.
Dominique Tye (Roxbury/Roxbury) crossed the finish line two spots after Garruto in 26th place with a time of 25:24.36.
Alexandra Lacorazza (Palisades Park/Palisades Park) was the fifth finisher for the Ospreys in 30th place at 25:37.27.
Do led a group of five Stockton men that finished between 16th and 28th. The sophomore earned the 16th spot with a time of 27:22.10 for 8K.
Cooper Knorr (Manalapan/Manalapan) finished 19th at 29:26.50 followed by
Joe D'Amico (Bayville/Central Regional) two spots later in 21st place with a time of 27:34.55.
Christian Mele (Cherry Hill/CH East) crossed the line one second after D'Amico for 23rd place at 27:35.39.
Matt Cohen (Robbinsville/Robbinsville) rounded out Stockton's five scorers in 28th position with a time of 27:48.95.
Stockton will return to Gloucester again in two weeks for the NCAA Atlantic Regionals, which Rowan is hosting on November 10.
