Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (4-2, 3-1 NJAC) scored 15 unanswered points during a span of 4:20 in the second half and downed Rowan University (4-3, 1-3) 67-58 in an NJAC home game. Steve Ferebee (Galloway/Absegami) hit double figures for the third straight game, finishing with a team-high 18 points.

Jordan Taylor (East Orange/Cicely Tyson) chipped in with 12 markers followed by Brandon Hamilton (Camden/Paulsboro) and Keenan Williams Jr. (Paulsboro/Paulsboro) with 11 points apiece. Ferebee, who shot 7-10 (70%) from the floor, and Williams Jr. tied for team-high honors with seven rebounds apiece.

The teams combined for 26 turnovers in a first half that was not crisp on either side but was tight early before Stockton created some separation. Consecutive baskets by Ferebee and Williams Jr. gave the Ospreys their biggest lead of the half at 26-16. Rowan closed the gap to five before a Taylor three-pointer with 2:10 on the clock ended the scoring in the period with Stockton in front 29-21.

In the second half, the Profs went on a 11-2 run that vaulted them into the lead at 37-34. A three-pointer by Williams Jr. was answered by a Rowan bucket that made the score 39-37 in favor of the Profs with 12:42 on the clock.

Stockton then seized control with 15 straight points over the next four-plus minutes. Taylor scored the first four markers and Ferebee caught fire with seven straight points. Williams Jr. capped the run with a three-pointer that gave the Ospreys a commanding 52-39 lead with 8:10 to play.

Rowan later got within eight before Stockton put the game away with a 12-4 run that featured five more points by Ferebee and ended with another trey by Williams Jr. that made it 64-48. From there, the Ospreys coasted down the stretch to post the 67-58 victory. Overall, they shot 6-13 (46.2%) from three-point range in the second half.

Nick DePersia led all scorers with 22 points for Rowan. Connor Dickerson and Mark Pantovic added 12 and 11 points respectively for the Profs.
