Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (6-3) led wire-to-wire scoring a season-high 18 goals, as they downed St. Joe's-LI (2-4) 18-13 on Saturday afternoon.
Tamara Torales (Basking Ridge/Ridge) led the Ospreys with a monster game of four goals and three assists for seven points. She also scooped three ground balls, caused three turnovers and grabbed three draw controls.
Stockton scored 48 seconds into the game, as
Nicole Jandras (Egg Harbor Twp. /EHT) tallied the first of her three goals on the day. Torales assisted on the marker.
Melanie Patterson (Jackson/Jackson Liberty) and Torales made it 3-0 before a pair of markers by the Golden Eagles cut the lead to 3-2 in the high scoring affair.

Kristen Russo (Wayne/Wayne) and Torales stretched the margin to 6-3. Freshman
Olivia Paolillo (Freehold/Colts Neck) assisted on Russo's goal for her first career point. After a St.Joe's goal, Stockton hit the back of the net four more times for a 10-3 lead with 7:04 to play in the half.
Torales, Ojeda and two by
Michaella Butrico (South Plainfield/South Plainfield), gave the Ospreys what appeared to be an insurmountable lead. But two scores in the last 2:58 by the visitors, cut the advantage to 10-5 at the break.
The Ospreys kept up the assault to start the second half with three more scores for a 13-5 margin. Once again, St. Joe's tallied a pair to keep them close at 13-7. A Jandras goal made it 14-7 with19:44 remaining, before the Golden Eagles made the game interesting with three markers to cut the lead to 14-10.
Ojeda stretched the lead to 15-10 before St. Joe's scored three times to put them just two goals down at 15-13 with 7:47 to play. That was as close as they would come as Stockton put the game away with the final three markers and the 18-13 final score.
In addition to Torales big afternoon, Ojeda scored four goals with Butrico and Jandras hitting the net three times each. Patterson scored two goals with one assist and grabbed two draw controls. Freshman
Jessica Catalioto and Russo were credited with four draw controls each with Russo scooping a pair of ground balls.

Stevie Ader (Califon/Voorhees) played the first 46:11 and made six saves in garnering the win.
Maura Twiggs (Ocean City/Ocean City) finished up in net kicking out one shot in the final 13:49 of play.
St. Joe's were led by Diana Johnston, Nicole Stoppelli and Ally Johnston who scored three goals each. Stoppelli also dished a game high four assists, while Diana Johnston grabbed a game-high 10 draw controls. Goalkeeper made eight saves in the defeat for the Golden Eagles.
The Ospreys will face off against Eastern University at home for their next contest. The game is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7 pm.
