Galloway, NJ - Stockton Athletics held its annual awards brunch at the Campus Center Event Room yesterday with a crowd of nearly 300 in attendance to salute the Osprey student-athletes. Men's track & field standout
Jared Lewis (Westville/Deptford), a senior, was voted Stockton Male Athlete of the Year for the third straight time. Women's basketball player
Sasha Williams (Cherry Hill/CH West), also a senior, was chosen Stockton Female Athlete of the Year.

Senior softball player
Daniela Marinaro (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove) received the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Unsung Hero Award. Scholar Athlete certificates were presented to Ospreys with grade point averages of 3.60 and above (minimum 24 credits) and Honor Athlete certificates were given to those with GPA's between 3.20-3.59 (minimum 24 credits). A total of 168 student-athletes qualified for academic awards.

Men' lacrosse senior
Jamar Hall (Logan Twp./Kingsway), who played three seasons at Stockton after transferring from Eastern University, was the student-athlete speaker "Luckily I made the right choice to come to Stockton University and I loved being a student-athlete here every single day," said Hall. "You start the season as teammates and end up becoming family, and I am glad that I came to Stockton and found 40-plus new family members that will always have my back."

Lewis finished as the NCAA runner-up in the outdoor triple jump last spring and repeated as the NCAA indoor national champion in the triple jump this March. In the process, he became Stockton's most decorated student-athlete ever with eight career All-American honors. Lewis also earned USTFCCCA All-Region status and won NJAC triple jump titles both indoors and outdoors. In addition he was voted NJAC Outstanding Field Athlete for the 2017-18 indoor season.

Williams capped her brilliant career with a senior season highlighted by WBCA All-America Honorable Mention and D3hoops.com All-America Honorable Mention accolades. Williams was voted NJAC Defensive Player of the Year for the fourth straight time and also was chosen NJAC First Team, All-ECAC First Team and D3hoops.com Atlantic Region First Team. She led the nation and moved into second in NCAA Division III history in blocked shots during the campaign.

Marinaro is a four-year letter winner who arrived at Stockton as a shortstop and played sparingly in her freshman year before shifting to third base and becoming a starter as a sophomore. She fell out of the starting lineup last season but returned to it this year after another position change, this time to right field, and has established career highs in most offensive categories. Throughout her career, Marinaro has been a consummate teammate as well as an outstanding student with a 3.94 grade point average.
