Rocky Mount, NC – Stockton University (2-1-1) extended its unbeaten streak to three (2-0-1) with a 1-0 shutout of North Carolina Wesleyan in the first of back-to-back games in North Carolina. Freshman Susan Porambo (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) scored her first career goal for the Ospreys.
 
Porambo scored an unassisted marker just 8:04 into the game to give Stockton the early lead. Brenna Clowney (Mullica Hill/Clearview) nearly added to the advantage just under four minutes later on a shot that glanced off the post.
 
The Ospreys were in control throughout, outshooting North Carolina Wesleyan 13-3, including 9-1 in the first half. Stockton goalkeeper Nicole Pallante (Brick/Brick Twp.) needed just two saves, one in each half, for her second shutout of the season. Pallante tied Sarah Hinkle (2010-13) for fourth in school history with 27 career shutouts.
 
Stockton will be back on a field in North Carolina tomorrow as the Ospreys play a noon match at Meredith College.
