New York, NY – Stockton University resumed the 2018-19 indoor track & field season at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational, which was held at historic New York Armory on Saturday night. The Osprey men finished fourth out of 15 teams while the women placed 11th.
Qudratullah Qadiri (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) was the top finisher for Stockton as the runner-up in the pole vault (4.30m). Qadiri also placed seventh in the 60m hurdles (8.88 seconds).
James Flasser (South Plainfield/South Plainfield) finished fourth in the shot put (13.18m) and
Tom Strychowski (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) was eighth (12.39m). Strychowski also placed sixth in the weight throw (13.61m).
Freshman
Keon Grady (Franklinville/Delsea) had a strong night. Grady finished fifth and qualified for the Atlantic Region Championships in the long jump (6.69m). The rookie also was sixth in the triple jump (12.95m). Fellow rookie
Matthew Carter (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) tied for fifth in the pole vault (4.00m) and
Cooper Knorr (Manalapan/Manalapan) placed eighth in the 3000m (9:09.78).
Jessica McRae (Keyport/Carteret) led the Stockton women's team by finishing sixth in the triple jump (11.06m) and 12th out of 33 in the long jump (4.99m).
Emmy LaFevre (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) placed seventh in the shot put (11.24m) and
Charlotte Leon (Northport, NY/Northport) was eighth in the weight throw (12.94m).
Erica Burdsall (Bridgeton/Cumberland) finished 17th out of 40 in the 400m (1:04.03), followed by
Abby Lodge (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) in 18th place (1:04.08).
Stockton will compete next at the Ursinus Collegeville Classic on January 19 at 9:30 am.
