Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (9-11, 7-6 NJAC) used a balanced scoring attack as the Ospreys held on for a 69-60 victory over William Paterson University (11-9, 6-7 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Othniel Nyamekye (Irvington/Irvington) led four Ospreys in double-figures with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Eleven different Ospreys tallied points in the contest.

The Pioneers scored the first four points before Stockton rattled off the next nine markers for a 9-4 lead at the 15:54 mark.
Tariq Baker (Brooklyn, NY/St. Anthony's) accounted for six of the total on two three-pointers during the stretch. Stockton methodically increased the margin, outscoring the visitors 23-13 for a commanding 32-17 advantage at the break.

The Ospreys used a stifling defense, holding Paterson to just 20.6% (7-34) shooting and forcing seven turnovers during the first 20 minutes.
Steve Ferebee (Galloway/Absegami) topped the Ospreys with eight points while Nyamekye added five points and controlled the glass with eight boards.

William Paterson came out of the break on fire, scoring the first seven points to offset a pair of foul shots by Baker to slice the margin to 34-24 with 18:16 left in regulation. Stockton was able to up the lead to 48-32 on the heels of a 14-8 run, with Ferebee and Nyamekye tallying four points each during the spurt.

The Ospreys ran the score to 56-38, forcing the Pioneers into a timeout with 7:07 remaining. William Paterson then made one last charge, spurting out on a 14-3 run in a span of just under three minutes to slice the margin to 59-52 in favor of the Ospreys with 4:10 left in the game.

Stockton answered with four points by Nyamekye and a three-ball by
Jordan Taylor (East Orange/Cicely Tyson) to push the margin back up to 66-59 with just 1:37 remaining in the contest. From there, two foul shots by
Kyion Flanders (Wildwood/Wildwood) and another free throw by Taylor gave Stockton the win at 69-60.

Nyamekye pulled down five of his 10 rebounds on the offensive glass. Ferebee added 12 points while Taylor scored 11 points and tied his career-high with nine boards. Baker chipped in with 10 markers and
Keenan Williams Jr. (Paulsboro/Paulsboro) dished a game-high five assists and pulled down eight rebounds.

Domenic Mignone tallied game-highs of 27 points and three steals for the Pioneers, with Myles McLeod registering a double-double of 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Stockton will play their next game on the road, traveling to Glassboro to face Rowan University on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 8 pm.
