Stockton Cruises to 18th Straight Win

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (25-2, 7-0 NJAC) extended its winning streak to 18 straight matches with an easy 3-0 sweep of William Paterson (9-10, 1-6). All 15 healthy Ospreys saw action in the contest and 12 of them registered at least one kill.
 
Jocelyn Holobetz (Pottstown, Pa./Nativity BVM), one of two seniors recognized prior to the match on Senior Night, spiked a match-high nine kills and freshman Noelle Langish (Eastampton/Rancocas Valley) tallied a career-high seven kills.
 
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) totaled 25 assists, six kills, four aces and three digs. Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson), who joined Holobetz in the Senior Night festivities, led all players with 15 digs and added six assists and three aces.
 
Stockton dominated the first set 25-13 behind five kills by Sullivan and three aces from Miller. The Ospreys did not make any hitting errors in a dominant 25-9 second set during which they registered a blistering .625 hitting percentage. Charlotte Leon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) led the attack with five kills followed by Langish with three kills.
 
The Osprey bench got into the act in the third set with 10 players seeing action in the stanza. Stockton built a 9-1 lead and later extended to 19-9 before closing out the victory 25-19. Holobetz and Langish paced the Ospreys with four kills apiece in the set.
 
Alyson Toman and Kathleen Burrough paced William Paterson with six kills apiece. Burrough and Dakota Apicella tallied five digs apiece and setter Kristin Volavka dealt 12 assists.
 
Stockton will travel to Eastern University on Friday for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
