Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (10-4-3, 3-3-2 NJAC) scored all their goals in the first half and defeated New Jersey City University (11-8-0, 0-8-0 NJAC) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. Four different players hit the net on the afternoon, with
Michael Echeverria (Linden/St. Joseph's) dishing two assists on the day.

The Ospreys wasted no time in getting on the board, as
Dante Montesinos (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) tallied his second goal of the year at 2:36 for a 1-0 lead.
Christian Bik (Vineland/St. Augustine Prep) sent Montesinos in and his shot to the low left corner gave Stockton a one goal margin.

Two minutes later,
Ryan Cheslock (Toms River/Toms River North) scored his first career goal to make the score 2-0. Echeverria volleyed a corner kick to the middle of the box, where Cheslock headed the ball in for the score.

At 6:56,
Larry Abanilla (Union/Union Catholic) blasted his second marker of the year for a three-goal advantage.
Max Bond (Cherry Hill/Cherry Hill West) fed Abanilla and his rocket deflected off the cross bar and into the net.

In the 26th minute the Ospreys finished off the scoring.
Andrew Griggs (Galloway/Absegami) took a pass from Echeverria and blasted a shot through the goalkeeper and into the net for his third goal of the season and a commanding 4-0 lead.

The Gothic Knights would spoil the shutout attempt in the second half, when Edric De Paula scored his eighth goal of the season with a highlight reel score in the 55th minute of play. Nelson Segovia gave De Paula a pass in front and his bicycle kick made it into the back of the net to slice the lead to 4-1.

That would be all the scoring for the afternoon, as both squads substituted liberally for the remainder of the contest.

All four of Stockton's netminders saw action in the game.
Dino Gromitsaris (Bordentown/Bordentown) earned the win, starting and playing the first 22:53 of the game, with no saves. He gave way to
Travis Yates (Washington Twp./Washington Twp.) who played the next 25:22 making one save.

Michael Lescano (Union/St. Benedict's Prep) saw 30:55 minutes of action, with a pair of saves. Freshman
Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) finished up the final 10:50 without having to make a stop.

Aldahir Cazun started in goal for the Gothic Knights allowing all four goals and making four saves in 28:59 of play. Danny Montehermoso finished the game, kicking out two shots.

Stockton will finish the regular season, with a contest at Rutgers-Camden next Wednesday night. Game time is set for 7:30 pm.
