Swarthmore, Pa. – Stockton University (17-2) won a pair of matches to boost its current winning streak to 10 straight. The Ospreys swept Franklin & Marshall (13-3) 3-0 and then topped host Swarthmore (9-7) 3-1.
Sarah Walsh (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) led Stockton past F&M with 10 kills, five digs and three blocks followed by
Charlotte Leon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) with eight kills and three blocks.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) totaled 26 assists, seven digs, five kills and two aces.
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) scooped a match-high 18 digs and
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) led all players with three aces. The first two sets were close, with Stockton winning both 25-21. The Ospreys then closed out the sweep with a 25-14 victory in the third set.
Walsh powered Stockton over Swarthmore with 18 kills and 10 digs for a double-double.
Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) spiked 10 kills and
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) chipped in with 13 digs and nine kills.
Sullivan dished 48 assists and snagged 16 digs. Miller again led the Ospreys in digs, this time with 20. Stockton captured the first two sets 25-21 and 25-19. The Garnet stayed alive 25-22 in the third stanza but the Ospreys dominated the fourth set 25-12 to clinch their 10th win in a row.
Up next, Stockton will host Rutgers-Newark in an NJAC match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
