Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (8-1, 4-1 NJAC) extended its winning streak to seven with a 9-0 shutout of Kean University (6-5, 1-4 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Elena Nunez (Madrid, Spain/Rye (N.Y.)),
Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) and
Sarah Richardson (Atco/Hammonton) won matches in both singles and doubles.
Nunez and van Schalkwyk cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles while Richardson and
Brianna McCarthy (West Long Branch/Shore Regional) won by injury default at No. 2 doubles.
Hailey Johnson (Middletown/Academy of Law & Public Safety) and
Renee Wornowicz (Old Bridge/Old Bridge) edged their foes 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
Nunez and van Schalkwyk won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively in top two singles slots.
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) was a 6-1, 6-1 victor at No. 3 singles and
Brooke Samuels (Salem/Salem) posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 4 singles. Richardson notched a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles and
Katelyn Emick (West Deptford/West Deptford) contributed a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 6 singles.
Brenna Samuels extended her singles winning streak to 11 straight matches. Emick won her seventh consecutive singles match and Richardson recorded her fifth victory in a row. In doubles, Nunez and van Schalkwyk boosted their win streak to seven straight.
Stockton will play its final home match of the fall season on Wednesday when the Ospreys host Immaculata at 4 p.m.
