Galloway, N.J. – Two Stockton University cross country runners earned NJAC all-conference recognition for the 2019 season. Junior
Daniel Do (Galloway/Absegami) garnered an NJAC First Team nod in men's cross country for the second time in his career and senior
Maria Antoni (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland) snagged an NJAC Second Team spot in women's cross country.
The NJAC all-conference teams are based on the individual finishes at the NJAC Championships, which Stockton hosted on Saturday. Do finished fourth out of 104 runners and Antoni placed eighth out of 105 runners. Both Osprey teams finished fourth overall at the conference meet.
Do ran a personal best of 24:59.1 for eight kilometers, and his fourth-place finish was the best by a Stockton male at the NJAC Championship since 2013. The junior was the top Osprey finisher at the NJAC meet for the third straight year. Do placed seventh for an NJAC First Team honor in 2017 and was 16th last year.
Do has five top-10 finishes in six races this season, highlighted by his winning the Osprey Open on September 21. He has been chosen NJAC Runner of the Week twice this year (Sept. 23, Oct. 7).
Antoni, competing in her first season at Stockton after transferring from Shippensburg University, ran a season-best 23:42.7 for six kilometers at the NJAC Championship. The senior posted her third top-10 performance of the season with eighth place on Saturday. She won the TCNJ Invitational on September 13, for which she was named NJAC Runner of the Week.
Antoni arrived at Stockton this fall after three seasons at Shippensburg. Last year, she was a member of the Raiders' team that won the PSAC Championship, and she qualified for the NCAA Division II Championship by placing 32nd at the NCAA Regional meet.
