Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University (29-3) advanced to the finals of the NJAC Tournament with a convincing 3-0 victory over Montclair State (21-10) on Thursday night. The scores were 25-14, 25-15 and 25-13.
Charlotte Leon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) led a balanced Osprey attack with 10 kills.

The match started off tight as both teams scrambled for points. After four straight points and the score at 13-9, the Red Hawks took a timeout to try and slow the Ospreys. Stockton came out of the break and finished the set on a 12-5 run to win 25-14. Leon spiked five of her kills during the set.

The Ospreys dominated the second set, running out to a 19-10 lead before closing the set at 25-15.
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) and
Sarah Walsh (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) had four spikes each, with
Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) pounding three more kills.

The final set became academic as Stockton scored four of the first five points of the set and never looked back.
Franceska Gustave (Edgewater/Leonia) got into the act with a pair of kills, with Kohlhoff and Leon adding three spikes each as the Ospreys won 25-13 to advance to the NJAC championship.

Stockton had a tremendous hitting percentage of .362 as a team on the evening, with Kohlhoff hitting an outstanding .636 and Leon at .421 to top the squad.

In addition to Leon's 10 kills, Kohlhoff and Walsh had eight kills each, with Louer spiking seven kills.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) had 32 assists, four kills, three aces and nine digs.
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) led the Ospreys with 10 digs as five Stockton players scooped seven digs or more in the match. Kohlhoff and Gustave each registered three blocks.

The Ospreys have reached the NJAC championship for the first time since 2017 and are looking for the school's first NJAC title since 2015 and 13th overall. Stockton will take host Rowan University in the conference title match on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Ospreys swept the Profs 3-0 in a regular season meeting back on September 17.
