Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University junior
Dasey DiElmo (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) was selected to the
All-ECAC First Team, her fourth postseason honor for the 2019 season. DiElmo previously was chosen NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, NJAC First Team and All-South Atlantic Second Team.
DiElmo, an outside back, moved up to the All-ECAC First Team after an All-ECAC Second Team nod last year. She helped Stockton to its highest win total since 2014 with 14 victories (14-4-3 record). The Ospreys finished third in the conference and reached the semifinals of the NJAC Tournament.
DiElmo played in 18 games and missed three due to injury. She started 17 matches, easing back into the lineup once off the bench in her return from the injury. DiElmo anchored a Stockton defense that finished second in the NJAC in goals allowed (12) and goals against average (0.55) plus tied for second in shutouts (12).
DiElmo also contributed three goals on offense and was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week on October 6 after scoring one goal apiece in back-to-back wins over Rowan and Ramapo.
DiElmo has played in 59 games in her three seasons at Stockton and started 58 of them. The junior has five goals and five assists for 15 career points thus far. She has earned two NJAC postseason awards, 2017 NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year and 2019 NJAC Defensive Player of the Year.
DiElmo is a three-time all-conference (2017 NJAC Second Team, 2018-19 NJAC First Team), two-time United Soccer Coaches all-region (2018 First Team, 2019 Second Team) and now two-time All-ECAC (2018 Second Team, 2019 First Team) performer.
