Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University women's soccer teammates
Dasey DiElmo (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) and
Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) received all-region recognition from the
United Soccer Coaches. DiElmo was voted to the All-South Atlantic Second Team and LeDonne was chosen to the All-South Atlantic Third Team.
DiElmo was an all-region selection for the second straight year after an All-South Atlantic First Team nod last season. The junior played in 18 of Stockton's 21 games and started 17 matches while also missing three due to injury. She played outside back and anchored a Stockton defense that posted 12 shutouts and a 0.55 goals against average.
DiElmo helped Stockton tie for second in the NJAC in shutouts and finish second in the conference in goals against average and goals allowed (12). She also contributed offensively with three goals. DiElmo added the all-region accolade to NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and NJAC First Team honors for the 2019 season.
LeDonne tied for the team lead with eight goals and topped Stockton with eight assists and 24 points while starting all 21 games for the Ospreys as they went 14-4-3. The forward netted two game-winning goals and was a perfect 2-2 on penalty kicks as well.
LeDonne tied for second in the NJAC in assists, tied for fifth in points, tied for eighth in goals and also finished third in the league in shots (66). The forward sparked Stockton to second in the NJAC in goals, points and shots. LeDonne was voted NJAC First Team and earned all-region recognition for the first time in her career.
