Staten Island, N.Y. – Stockton University began the opening weekend of the 2019-20 indoor track & field season with six Ospreys running in the Fastrack Season Opener at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Daniel Do (Galloway/Absegami) set a new school record and finished seventh out of 25 in the 3000m with a time of 8:41.99.
Do also qualified for the Atlantic Region Championships with the performance. In the same race,
Kyle Navalance (Toms River/TR North) improved his personal best by 22 seconds and finished 11th with a time of 9:00.94. Freshman
Colin Hueston (Metuchen/Metuchen) ran the 500m and posted a time of 1:13.76 in his first college race.
Two Ospreys competed in the women's mile, with
Maria Antoni (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland) finishing in 5:27.60 for seventh place out of 33 runners.
Jesse DeLello (Warren/Watchung Hills) finished 18th at 5:51.02.
Kristy Goff (Brigantine/Holy Spirit) was the third Stockton female to compete in the Fastrack Season Opener. Goff set a personal best and finished ninth out of 33 in the 800m with a time of 2:28.38 for the Ospreys.
The Stockton teams will compete in the Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals on Saturday.
