Galloway, NJ – Nine members of the Stockton University women's indoor track & field team earned NJAC all-conference honors for the 2018-19 indoor season. Leading the way were a pair of NJAC Second Team honorees in freshman
Jy'Asia Bivins (Toms River/Toms River South) in the long jump (5.46m) and junior
Jessica McRae (Keyport/Carteret) in the triple jump (11.37m).
The all-conference teams are based on finish in each event at the NJAC Championships on February 18. As a team, the Ospreys placed third at the conference meet for the fourth consecutive season. Event winners at the NJAC Championships receive NJAC First Team honors, while runners-up are slotted for NJAC Second Team kudos and third-place finishers are recognized as NJAC Honorable Mention.
McRae earned NJAC Second Team honors with a personal best in the triple jump and also competed in the long jump at the NJAC meet. Bivins set a personal best on the way to her NJAC Second Team nod in the long jump. She also notched a personal best in the 60-meter dash (8.01 seconds) where she placed fifth. The frosh competed in the triple jump as well, finishing in ninth place.
NJAC Honorable Mention status went to the 4x800 relay team of
Amanda Logie (Scotch Plains/SP-Fanwood),
Jesse DeLello (Warren/Watchung Hills),
Nicole Christensen (Jefferson/Jefferson Twp.) and
Regina Duncan (Frelinghuysen Twp./North Warren) with a time of 10:00.20 at the conference meet.
Individual NJAC Honorable Mention nods were earned by
Emmy LaFevre (Flemington/Hunterdon Central) in the shot put (11.89m),
Isabel Barsch (Barnegat/Southern) in the weight throw (13.70m) and
Jeanmarie Harvey (River Edge/River Dell) in the pole vault (3.05m).
