Cortland, NY – Stockton University wrapped up the 2019 outdoor season by competing in the Atlantic Region Championships at SUNY Cortland. The Osprey women tied for 16th place while the men tied for 26th place. Stockton scored (top eight) in five women's events and four men's events.
Regina Duncan (Frelinghuysen Twp./North Warren),
Kristy Goff (Brigantine/Holy Spirit),
Jessie Klenk (Somerdale/Sterling) and
Jesse DeLello (Warren/Watchung Hills) joined together for Stockton's best finish in any event, placing third in the 4x800 relay (9:41.09).
Jy'Asia Bivins (Toms River/TR South) finished fifth in the 100m (12.40 seconds), moving up two spots in the final after qualifying seventh in the prelims.
Jessica McRae (Keyport/Carteret) broke her own school record and placed sixth in the triple jump (11.58m).
In addition to her relay performance, Duncan finished eighth in the 1500m (4:48.76).
Rachael Leyrer (Dorothy/Buena) ran a personal best in the prelims of the 100m hurdles (14.93 seconds) and later placed eighth in the final (16.88 seconds).
Abby Lodge (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) notched a personal best in the 400m (58.09 seconds) and narrowly missed the podium by the slimmest of margins, just three thousandths of a second (58.085 to 58.082), placing ninth.
Tom Strychowski (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) led the Stockton men's team with points in two events. Strychowski finished sixth in the discus (43.95m) and eighth in the shot put (14.20m).
Hunter Daly (Florence/Florence) established a personal best and placed sixth in the high jump (1.98m).
Tyler Anzisi (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) was eighth in the discus (47.42m) for the Ospreys in the season finale.
