New York, NY – Stockton University (6-1) won a pair of matches on Saturday, capturing the first match against Skidmore College (2-3) 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-3, 25-14), then topped Springfield College (4-1) 3-2 in a tight five-set match by scores of 27-25, 23-25, 25-17, 20-25, 15-11.

Charlotte Leon (Northport, NY/Northport) and
Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, NY/West Islip) each spiked 29 kills on the day for the Ospreys.

Against Skidmore, the Ospreys started strong and held on for a two-point win before falling by the same score in the second set. The first set saw
Caity Ullmer (Midland Park/Midland park) put the set away with a pair of points after neither team gained more than a three-point advantage. Skidmore rallied for the second-set win after allowing Stockton to win the first five points of the set.

Stockton then blew out the Thoroughbreds 25-3. The Ospreys ran off 15 consecutive points, highlighted by five aces from
Alice Brandt (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park), for a 21-2 lead. Two aces from
Christie Louer (Clifton/Clifton) finished off the set.

Stockton put the match away with a 25-14 fourth set to move to 5-1 on the season. The Ospreys kept the momentum from the massive third set, jumping out to a 5-1 lead that they never relinquished. The Ospreys led wire-to-wire in capturing the final set.

Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, NY/West Islip) was the only Osprey in double figures in kills with 13.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) dished 31 assists and served six aces while Brandt added five aces.
Natalie Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) scooped 15 digs on the backline, with Kohlhoff, Leon and
Franceska Gustave (Edgewater/Leonia) tallying three blocks each.

In the nightcap, Stockton never led by more than three points in squeezing out the first-set win. Springfield came back to capture the second set before Stockton took the third set. The squads fought for every point and eventually went to a decisive fifth set.

The Pride jumped out to a 9-7 lead in the fifth stanz before Stockton rallied. The Ospreys won eight of the last 10 points to take the 15-11 final. Two kills by Leon, one by Sullivan and an ace by Miller put the match away, giving Stockton their sixth victory of the season.

Leon spiked a career-high 24 kills while Kohlhoff totaled a career-best 16 kills in the match. Sullivan dished 48 assists, with Miller leading five Ospreys in double-digit digs with 20 scoops. Gustave registered four more blocks. Sullivan,
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) and Louer all had 15 digs while Brandt scooped 12 .
