Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University men's basketball teammates
Zy'are Griffin (Atlantic City/ACIT) and
Danny Moeller (Voorhees/Eastern) qualified for the 2020 NABC Honors Court from the
National Association of Basketball Coaches.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's basketball players in all three NCAA Divisions plus the NAIA for their academic achievement. In order to qualify, players must be a junior or senior with a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year. Griffin played his junior season while Moeller completed his career as a senior this winter.
Griffin is a Business Studies major at Stockton and Moeller majored in Health Science, earning his bachelor's degree at the conclusion of the spring semester. Moeller earned NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention status three times while Griffin has snagged NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition twice so far.
Griffin played in seven games off the bench this season. The guard has appeared in 14 career games in his three seasons at Stockton, grabbing nine rebounds, scoring four points and adding one block and one steal at the defensive end.
Moeller was a four-year letter winner as a reserve point guard for the Ospreys. He played in 15 games this season, including his first career start against Rutgers-Newark on Senior Night. Moeller totaled 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal during the 2019-20 campaign.
Moeller saw action in 39 career games in a Stockton uniform, accumulating 39 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Ospreys. He is currently enrolled in the physical therapy graduate program at Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
