Marlee Tharp (Tuckerton/Pinelands) continued her outstanding first season at Stockton as she was selected as NJAC Rookie of the Week in women's cross country for the week of October 11-17. Tharp earned the NJAC Rookie of the Week nod for the third time this season.
Tharp competed at the Connecticut College Invitational last Saturday in a meet that featured eight nationally-ranked teams. The rookie ran a personal-best time of 24:26.7 over the 6K course for 89th place out of 196 runners. Her time helped Stockton to a 17th place finish out of 26 teams.
Tharp previously was selected NJAC Rookie of the Week on September 13 and October 4. She and her Osprey teammates will compete next in the NJAC Cross Country Championships, to be held at Stockton on October 30.
