Philadelphia, Pa. – Stockton University completed its fall racing season by rowing in four races at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Six boats raced on the day, and the event marked the fourth time that the Ospreys competed during the semester.
Stockton had its best finish in the Frosh/Novice Fours, placing fifth out of 17 with a time of 16:12.339. Stockton B rowed a time of 18:44.396 for 13th place in the event. In the Frosh/Novice Eights, the Stockton B entry placed eighth out of 17 with a time of 15:37.365 while the A crew was 15th at 17:58.317.
The Ospreys had one entry in each of the Championship races. Stockton finished 26th out of 40 in the Championship Fours with a time of 15:47.364 and placed 30th out of 41 boats in the Championship Eights with a time of 14:41.444.
The fall semester was a period of growth for the young Stockton team, which has seven sophomores and four freshmen among the 17 rowers on the roster. The Ospreys will return to action in the spring semester, starting with a training trip to Florida during spring break in March.
