Stockton Wins ECAC Championship, 2-0

Wayne, N.J. – Stockton University (15-6-3) scored twice in the last 28 minutes and defeated William Paterson (9-9-1) 2-0 to win the 2021 ECAC championship. The Ospreys won the ECAC title for the sixth time in program history (2021, 04, 03, 02, 99, 93).

Stockton freshman Emily Hauck (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) was chosen MVP of the ECAC Tournament and joined on the All-Tournament Team by Jessica Heitmann (Rockaway/Morris Knolls), Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) and Susan Porambo (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor).

The match was scoreless into the 63rd minute when Maddie Klein (Hamilton/Steinert) broke through for her fifth goal of the season with an assist by Erica Dietz (Allentown, Pa./Central Catholic) for the eventual game-winner.

Porambo later netted the insurance goal, her seventh marker of the season, assisted by Rylee Getter (Galloway/Absegami) with 8:48 remaining to seal the 2-0 win that gave the Ospreys the ECAC championship.

Stockton goalkeeper Kylee Sullivan (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) needed to make just one save to post her ninth shutout of the season. The Ospreys outshot William Paterson 12-1 in the game and Pioneers' goalie Erica Hickey finished with seven saves.

In addition to winning the program's sixth ECAC crown with three straight victories in the tournament, Stockton concluded the season with 15 wins for its highest total since a 15-9 campaign in 2014.
