Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (0-4, 0-4 NJAC) could not hold off New Jersey City (4-0, 4-0) in the final period and dropped a 59-47 decision on Saturday afternoon. Junior
Emily Donzanti (Toms River/Toms Rivers South) led the Ospreys with a game-high 19 points.

The Gothic Knights jumped out to an early 19-9 lead after the first period.
Ionyonia Alves (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) scored five of the markers for Stockton in the frame. Stockton totaled 10 points during the second quarter, but saw the margin increased by NJCU to 30-19 at the break.

The Ospreys exploded during the third period, outscoring the Gothic Knights 20-2 during the stanza. Donzanti scored nine of her points, with
Maddie McCracken (Wildwood/Wildwood) adding five during the onslaught, as Stockton forged a 39-32 advantage after three quarters of play.

The teams battled for points early in the final period, as NJCU drew to a 43-43 tie with 5:58 remaining in the contest. The visitors tallied the next four points to take a lead they would not relinquish as Stockton was unable to make one last charge. The Ospreys were outscored 16-4 over the final five minutes, which set the final at 59-47 in favor of the Gothic Knights.

Donzanti hit on 10-11 from the free throw line, with three steals and two blocks. McCracken was the only other Osprey in double figures with 12 points. Alves grabbed eight boards while
Jordyn Madigan (Toms River/Toms River East) pulled down seven rebounds for a new career-best for the freshman.

Damaris Rodriguez and Zianna Goda shared the scoring lead for New Jersey City with 14 points each, while teammate Dayjah Anderson added 13 markers and a game high three assists. Ayanna Lewis pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Gothic Knights.

Stockton will take on Rutgers-Camden next Friday night for the Ospreys' next tilt. Game time in Galloway is set for 6 p.m.Â
