Stockton Rolls Over Rutgers-Camden 82-50

Camden, N.J. – Stockton University (2-3) shot nearly 50 percent from three-point range and rolled to an 82-50 victory in a road game at Rutgers-Camden (0-5). The Ospreys led by 12 at the half and pulled away in the second stanza, outscoring the Scarlet Raptors by 20 points in the period.
 
Tariq Baker (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Anthony (NJ)) and Luciano Lubrano (Ocean City/Ocean City) topped Stockton with 13 points apiece. Milo De Los Santos (Hopewell Valley/Hopewell Valley) recorded his first double-digit game with a career-high 10 points.
 
Rynell Lawrence (Millville/Millville) grabbed a career-best 10 rebounds to go with six points and four assists. The Ospreys shot 53.4 percent from the floor (31-58), including 11-23 (47.8%) from three-point range. They also dominated the glass with a 42-24 rebound advantage.
 
Baker scored five straight points to give Stockton the lead for good at 15-11 with 7:27 gone in the game. The Ospreys later closed the half with six straight points while holding Rutgers-Camden scoreless for the last 3:52 for a 36-24 lead at the break.
 
Stockton was 5-9 (55.6%) from beyond the arc in the half, led by Baker and Kyion Flanders (Wildwood/Wildwood) with two treys apiece. Baker (10 points) and Flanders (7 points) combined for nearly half of Stockton's 36 points.
 
In the second half, Lubrano tossed in six consecutive points to extend the lead to 48-26. Lubrano drained a three-pointer at the 8:08 mark to make it 63-36 in favor of the Ospreys, and they continued to pull away. De Los Santos sank a pair of threes in the last five minutes as Stockton led by at least 29 the rest of the way and cruised to the 82-50 rout.
 
After going scoreless in the first half, Lubrano poured in 13 of Stockton's 46 second-half points. All 14 Stockton players in uniform saw at least three minutes of playing time in the game and 13 Ospreys scored points on the night.
 
Gavin Henry paced Rutgers-Camden with 14 points followed by Jaelin Keels with 11 markers.
 
The teams will run it back tomorrow on Stockton's home court at The Sports Center. The game tips off at 4 p.m.
