Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (6-0) advanced to the NJAC volleyball championship match with a 3-0 win over Rutgers-Camden (3-4) on Tuesday night. The scores were 25-7, 25-12 and 25-17, with the match played in a crisp 1:05.
Haley Green (Springville, UT/Maple Mountain) led all players with 10 kills and an outstanding .643 hitting percentage on the evening.

Stockton roared out to a quick 7-1 lead to start the match and cruised to a 25-7 opening set win. The frame was highlighted by seven service aces, including three by freshman
Aubrey Rentzel (York, PA/Central York), who had a career-high four aces on the night.

The Ospreys picked right up in the second set as Green spiked five kills, with
Julie Kohlhoff (West Islip, NY/West Islip) getting four more spikes in the 25-12 period win. Stockton continued their hot hitting, smashing the ball at a .591 clip for the period.

The Scarlet Raptors would make a match of it during the final frame. With Stockton holding a 15-6 advantage, the visitors ripped off five straight points to close the margin to 15-11. Rutgers-Camden kept up the pressure, closing the match to 17-14 before Stockton scored eight of the final 11 points to take the 25-17 set and advance to the NJACÂ finals.

Charlotte Leon (Northport, NY/Northport) chipped in with eight kills, withÂ
Franceska Gustave (Edgewater/Leonia) and Kohlhoff adding seven spikes each and Kohlhoff with a team-high three blocks.
Emily Sullivan (Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raritan) dished 30 assists and had a season-high five aces, as Stockton served a season-high 15 aces on the night.
Sophia Marziello (Haddonfield/Paul VI) topped all players with 10 digs on the backline.

For Rutgers-Camden, Erica Nebrich and Delaney Kolb had five kills each. Brinn Hassan dished 12 assists with Morgan Fox scooping seven digs and Devyn Cobb blocking three attempts.

Stockton will face Montclair State for the NJAC title on Thursday night in Galloway. Match time is set for 7 pm. Stockton downed the Red Hawks on opening night March 2 by a 3-1 score.
