Galloway, N.J. – The Stockton University women's rowing team collected three all-conference honors and qualified for seven academic accolades from the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference.
Olivia Hurley (Bayville/Central Regional) was chosen All-MARC Varsity for the third time to highlight the awardees.
Michaela Pope (Collingswood/Collingswood) received an All-MARC Varsity nod to go with a previous All-MARC Novice spot in 2019.
Jamie Dubicki (Hasbrouck Hts./Bergen County Tech) was an All-MARC Novice selection this year. Novice honors are reserved for rowers in their first year of competition at the collegiate level.
Hurley and
Chloe Schulze (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) each qualified for the MARC Academic All-Conference Team for the third time in their careers. The requirement is a grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Dubicki,
Nicole Dube (Newton/Kittatinny),
Gabrielle Eppright (Swainton/Cape May Tech),
Mary-Rose Keane (Watervliet, N.Y./Padua Academy (Del.)) and
Emily Thompson (Manahawkin/Southern Regional) also earned MARC Academic All-Conference status for the 2021 season.
Hurley and Pope are mainstays for the Stockton varsity eight that has won four dual races and finished third at the MARC Championships this season. Dubicki has seen time in both the varsity and second varsity eight boats plus the varsity four in her first year on the team. She helped the second varsity eight to a runner-up finish at the MARC Championships.
Stockton women's rowing has continued its ascension by achieving more milestones this spring. The Ospreys posted their best team finish ever at the MARC Championships with second place on April 25. Stockton also has cracked the Podock/CRCA Poll presented by US Rowing for the first time ever with a No. 15 ranking in NCAA Division III this week.
The Ospreys will compete at the famous Dad Vail Regatta, the largest collegiate regatta in North America, on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia tomorrow.
