Glassboro, NJ – Stockton University (11-15) was eliminated by #9 Rowan University (21-4) 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the NJAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Marco Meleo (Freehold/Freehold Boro) led the Ospreys with three hits on the afternoon.

Rowan tallied a run in their half of the third inning before Stockton answered in the top of the fourth frame.
John Perrino (Wall/Wall) and
Jay Marchese (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) both singled, the proceeded to pull off a double steal. When the throw sailed into the outfield Perrino plated the Stockton run.

The Profs struck for four runs in the bottom of the fourth against starter
Phil DeMarco (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.), who was working on three days rest, giving the home team a 5-1 margin.

Rowan tacked on the final tally in the bottom of the eighth inning to set the final score at 6-1.

Perrino, freshman
Tommy Talbot (Howell/Howell) and
Ryan O'Sullivan (Lacey Twp./Donovan Catholic) all contributed a pair of safeties each. Talbot extended his hitting streak to seven consecutive games, hitting safely in every game that he played in his rookie season.

Stockton finished the season with 11 wins, including victories over two nationally ranked teams in the NJAC.
