Stockton Draws with Ramapo 1-1

Mahwah, NJ – Stockton University (6-1-2, 1-0-1 NJAC) extended their unbeaten streak to eight consecutive matches with a 1-1 draw at Ramapo College (0-6-1, 0-1-1 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon. Kayla Rozanski (Woodbury/ Woodbury) scored the lone goal for the Ospreys on the day.

Stockton outshot the home team 5-2 in the first half, but the Roadrunners came away with the only goal of the first 45 minutes of play. Lauren Vladyka scored her first of the season for the 1-0 margin at 19:28. That lead would last until the break, as Stockton could not find the net.

The Ospreys applied pressure to start the second half, firing four shots, with a pair on net before Rozanski broke through. Her tally at 74:38 gave the Ospreys life and knotted the score at 1-1. Stockton was able to squeeze off six more attempts but failed to come up with the game-winner, sending the match to extra frames.

Rozanski and Emily Hauck (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) were able to get shots on net to no avail in the first overtime, while Susan Porambo (Millersville/Penn Manor) fired an attempt in the second but could not find the net either and the match ended in the 1-1 final.

Kylee Sullivan (Jackson/Jackson Memorial) made six saves in net for Stockton, while her counterpart Emma Conlan kicked out seven Stockton attempts.

Stockton's next match will be a non-conference contest at Albright on Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
