Madison, N.J. – Stockton University (1-0) scored four goals in the first 13 minutes and rolled to an 8-1 victory over Manhattanville (0-2) in the season opener, which took place at the Drew University Fall Festival. Gianna Morganti (Berlin/St. Joseph) led the Ospreys with three goals for a hat trick.

Madison Maguire (Swedesboro/Kingsway) scored twice while Tori Wilson (Mays Landing/Cedar Creek) contributed a goal and two assists. Kelsey Andrus (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) and Jenna Fiorito (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) each netted their first career goal in the rout.

Morganti potted her first marker just 1:53 into the game with an assist by Wilson. Maguire followed with her first goal of the day 1:28 later to make it 2-0. Morganti struck again at the 9:54 mark and Fiorito earned her first point at the college level with the assist.

Andrus banged home a rebound with 2:29 left in the first quarter for her first career tally and a commanding 4-0 advantage. After Manhattanville got on the board in the second quarter, Morganti completed her hat trick, again with an assist by Wilson.

Maguire added her second counter of the game with 1:34 left in the second quarter and freshman Dakota Ludman (Cape May CH/Middle Twp.) assisted for her first career point. Stockton led 6-1 at the half after scoring six goals on 12 shots.

Wilson found the back of the net 3:26 into the third period and Morganti collected the assist. Stockton's eighth and final goal of the afternoon marked a pair of firsts as Fiorito scored her first career goal and freshman Jamilyn Hawkins (Little Egg Harbor/Pinelands) notched her first career point with the assist.
