Union, N.J. – Stockton University (7-3-2, 0-2-1 NJAC) scored a late goal on a penalty kick to earn a 1-1 tie with Kean University (4-4-3, 0-1-2 NJAC) that gave the Ospreys their first point in the conference standings.
Stockton fell behind 1-0 with 2:08 gone in the second half. The Ospreys later earned a penalty kick with 17:58 left in the game and freshman
Aiden Hoenisch (Bordentown/Notre Dame) converted the attempt for his third goal of the season and second on two penalty kicks in his rookie year.
The Ospreys outshot Kean 13-10, including 7-3 in shots on goal.
Mike McKeown (Blackwood/Highland) registered a team-high four shots, the last of which was a shot on goal with three seconds left in the game that was saved by Kean goalie Dominic Ridge.

Liam Brett (Palmyra/Palmyra) made two saves while Ridge finished with six saves for the Cougars.
Stockton will play two home games at the Stockton Turf Field next week, starting with a non-conference match against Salisbury on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
